CHAPTER 279, AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF BLADEN COUNTY TO ISSUE BONDS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That for the purpose of building, repairing, and maintaining the roads, bridges, and ferries in the county of Bladen, the board of county commissioners of said county are hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to issue bonds of said county to an amount not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars, which said bonds shall be in denominations of five hundred dollars each, shall bear interest from the date of issuance at a rate not to exceed five per cent per annum, and to which interest coupons shall be attached, payable semiannually, payable on the first days of January and July of each year, and at such places as may be deemed advisable by said commissioners. Said bonds shall be made payable at such place as said commissioners may determine, and shall become due and payable forty years from the date of issuance, and shall be of such form and tenor and transferable in such way as said commissioners may direct.
