CHAPTER 383 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 199 OF THE PRIVATE LAWS OF 1913, PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF PROPERTY FOR TAXES IN THE CITY OF GASTONIA. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
SEcTION 25144 That any person liable to taxes on subjects to be listed who shall fail to pay them in the time prescribed for collection, the collector shall proceed forthwith to collect them by distress and sale, after public advertisement for the space of ten days in some newspaper published in the city if the property to be sold be personalty, and of thirty days if the property be realty.
