CHAPTER 1 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 340, PUBLIC-LOCAL LAWS OF NORTH CAROLINA, SESSION OF 1911, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That section nineteen -19 of chapter three hundred and forty (340), Public-Local Laws of North Carolina, session of one thousand nine hundred and eleven, be and the same is hereby amended by adding at the end of said section the following: Provided, however, that the said board of commissioners may, in its discretion, accept of any such officer a bond with individuals as sureties instead of requiring such officer to furnish bond in a surety company.
