CHAPTER 290 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 84, PUBLIC LAWS OF 1915, RELATING TO THE FISHERIES OF NORTH CAROLINA. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

No tax shall be levied or collected from bona fide residents or citizens of this State who take fish, oysters, clams, escallops, or crabs other_than with dredges for his own personal or familys use and consumption. But if any person shall sell or offer for sale any such products without having first procured a license, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than five dollars ($5) or imprisoned not exceeding thirty days.
