CHAPTER 1 AN ACT TO AMEND ARTICLE IX OF THE CONSTITUTION OF NORTH CAROLINA SO AS TO AUTHORIZE EDUCATION EXPENSE GRANTS AND TO AUTHORIZE LOCAL OPTION TO SUSPEND OPERATION OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
This amendment shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the State at the next general election, which shall be conducted under the laws now governing general elections in this State, or under such laws as may be provided by the General Assembly. 1
