CHAPTER 254 AN ACT TO ENLARGE THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That the board of education of New Hanover County be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to maintain and support out of the public school funds of said county, the Wilmington High School, which shall be open to all the white children of said county under such restrictions as the said board may fix as to grades of work and other qualifications; and the school committee of the said public high school shall consist of the joint committee of districts numbers one and two for the white race of said county, in whose names the donors of the property which is now used for high school purposes have placed the title.
