CHAPTER CXXIII. AN AC? TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF EDENTON. Wuernras, It is the interest of every state to regulate the police of its towns and encourage their trade, and the laws heretofore made for regulating the town of Edenton have, in many instances, proved detective and inconvenient :

Salary of Commissioners : That each one of the commissioners of the town of Edenton shall receive twenty-five dollars per annum, and they shall be required to fix the salaries of the other town officers not otherwise provided for in this act.
