CHAPTER 62 An act to amend the charter of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

By striking out section eight and inserting instead thereot the following: The said registrars shall register all such qualified voters as make application, and take oath to be adminis: tered by said registrar as follows: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the constitution of North Carolina and of the United States; that [| am twenty-one years of age, and have lived in North Carolina for one year, in the corporation of Elizabeth City ninety days, and in the ward thirty days. So help me God.
