CHAPTER 390 . n act to amend an act to establish and provide for the militia and for | the support and maintenance of the state guard, ratified March sixth, | eighteen hundred and ninety-three. Phe General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :

That section ten be amended to read as follows: The adjutant-general shall be chief-of-staff and commander of the brigade of three regiments now constituting the state guard, for which he shall receive an annual salary of one thousand dollars, and whenever. the brigade is called into active service he shall be entitled to detail and appoint for the time being two lieutenants as aides-de-camp. The quartermaster general shall receive an annual ae of five hundred dollars.
