CHAPTER 763 An act to compel attendance in the public schools in Mitchell County. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That any parent or person in loco parentis of any child or children. within said county, who shall refuse to send their said child or children to school as provided for in section -1 one of this act, shall be fined ten dollars or imprisoned not exceeding twenty days in the county jail.
