CHAPTER 359 AN ACT TO REVISE THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

If any person shall cause or procure his name to be registered in more than one election ward, or shall cause or procure his name or that of any other person whose name he has procured to be registered, and who is not entitled to vote in the ward wherein such registration is made, or shall falsely personate any registered voter, he shall be guilty of a crime infamous by the laws of the State, and shall be punished for every such offense by fine not exceeding one thousand dollars or imprisonment at hard labor for a term not exceeding two years, or both, in the discretion of the court.
