CHAPTER 1 AN ACT FOR THE BETTER WORKING AND IMPROVING THE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS OF DAVIE COUNTY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

It shall be the duty of the township road supervisors to attend the regular meetings of the board of road commissioners and such other meetings as they may be notified by the chairman of the board or road commissioners to attend, for the purpose of informing the board of the condition and needs of the roads of their respective townships. The said road supervisors shall submit to the board of road commissioners written reports specifying the condition of the roads in their respective townships and the nature and extent of the work which they may deem necessary for improvement and repair, and setting forth such recommendations as they may deem needful for making changes in roads or in opening new roads. For attending such meetings the supervisors shall each receive a compensation of two dollars a day and mileage.
