CHAPTER 391 AN ACT TO REWRITE ARTICLE II, SECTION 28, OF THE CONSTITU- TION OF NORTH CAROLINA WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPEN- SATION OF MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Article II of the Constitution of North Carolina is amended by rewriting Section 28 thereof to read as follows: Sec. 28 Compensation of Members and Officers of the General Assembly. The members and officers of the General Assembly shall receive for their services a compensation to be established by the General Assembly. An increase in the compensation of members shall become effective at the beginning of the next regular Session of the General Assembly.
