CHAPTER 219 An act to amend the charter of the city of Greensboro. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: _

That after they have been duly sworn, by the mayor or a justice of the peace, to conduct the election fairly, impartially and according to law, it shall be the duty of the said registrar and the four inspectors of election to open the polls, to receive and deposit the ballots in boxes provided for that purpose, to administer oaths, to decide all questions of voting, to superintend and conduct the election for municipal officers in like manner and during the same hours of the day as elections of the members of the General Assembly. They shall count the ballots and declare the result, and have all powers of officers appointed under chapter sixteen, volume two of The Code.
